Position Title: Systems Administrator
Department: AIT Bioscience LLC

Location: AIT Bioscience
FLSA Classification: Exempt

The Systems Administrator's role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of AITB information systems and software that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by implementing, monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing networked software and other various applications. The Systems Administrator will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, resolve problems, and build solutions in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

At AIT Bioscience, the Systems Administrator will routinely:
• Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
• Design and deploy new applications and/or enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating systems.
• Conduct research on software and systems products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
• Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
• Integrate applications, including directory services, messaging, print, and file servers and their associated software into enterprise systems.
• Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records to adhere to AITB standard operating procedures.
• Ensure compatibility and interoperability of various AITB application systems.
• Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
• Monitor and test application performance.
• Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software problems; escalate incidents as necessary.
• Deploy applications to servers and workstations when necessary.
• Serve as a steward for technology systems assigned.
• Assist in responsibility of day-to-day operations through addressing questions, concerns, and making decisions for AIT Bioscience's Information Technology software and systems.
• Other duties as required.

The Systems Administrator has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but provides guidance as needed to the Application Administrators and Business Analyst roles.

A Systems Administrator must have:
• Proven experience in overseeing the administration and implementation of software systems, applications, and databases.
• Extensive experience supporting software applications, including on premise and cloud based applications.
• Extensive application experience with Office 365 services including but not limited to SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and Azure AD.
• Basic working experience with SharePoint Designer.
• Experience writing and troubleshooting VBScript and PowerShell scripting.
• Basic technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and operations.
• Highly advanced communication skills.
• Effective conflict/resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to maintain multitasking over an extended period of time.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Ability to analyze and understand data to resolve problems.
• Ability to work in an FDA/EMA regulated IT environment.

The normal working conditions under which your work is performed
• Standard office/cubicle setting
• Possible contact with biological specimens
• Possible contact with chemicals and reagents
• Requires Personal Protective Equipment, as necessary
• Some responsibilities entail work offsite/outside normal business hours
• Minimal travel (<5%) is required

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or relevant experience
• 5 – 7 years of experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
• MCSA is preferred
